To add the recommended 6 grams to the shoe my overall weight needed to be around 175 grams. I started by drilling just the depth of a 1/4 once weight and putting a weight and the shoe on the scale together and it was still light. In the end I drilled the depth to be a 1/4 oz weight and 2 - 1/16 oz weights.
